GREETING (adapted from Psalm 118:24)
This is the day that you have made, O God.
We rejoice and are glad in it.
HYMN 612 “Deck Thyself, My Soul, with Gladness”
PSALM 150
PRAYER (with reference to Matthew 18:1-4)
Today, O God, as you gather us together to pray and worship,
let us be like children, playing in your warm summer rain.
Let us splash and spin, in the downpour of your holy love.
Let us run and laugh aloud, as we drink in your company.
Let us dance and sing, as we are washed by your holiness.
Let us play and love, floating in currents of your strength.
And when blissful exhilaration brings us to happy exhaustion,
let us lie down in your arms to indulge in your sabbath rest,
knowing ourselves baptized into the eternity of your heart. Amen.
GATHER WITH A CONGREGATION OF CHRISTIANS
TO CONTINUE THE WORSHIP OF GOD
ON THIS DAY OF JOYFUL RESURRECTION.
